«In the summer of 1997, I discovered Andalusia for the first time. Back then, I was a perfumery student enjoying my summer vacation, and as I wandered through its wild beauty, I recognised every plant and flower I had studied. It felt like the land was speaking the language of perfume. That’s when the seed of Maison Soto was planted – a dream that stayed with me for years before finally coming to life.”
Founded in 2022, Maison Soto is an independent perfumer brand offering fine scented products for body and home care, capturing the essence of Andalusia through naturally derived collections crafted from carefully selected essential oils from the region. All products are made in Spain.

An afternoon at an Andalusian finca, a day at the beach when the Poniente or Levante winds blow, a morning walk along the gardens of the Paseo del Parque, a soirée in the neighbourhood of Reyes & Reinas, a polo match on the Los Pinos fields, each of these moments has its own perfume in the Maison Soto range.
Our Commitment
Naturally derived
All our products are naturally derived, as per the ISO norm 16128.
Our candles are made of 100% natural and plant-based wax of European origin.
Our body care line is formulated with a high percentage of natural ingredients (between 88% and 98%, depending on the format).
Local essential oils
We prioritise the use of natural ingredients produced in Spain to compose our fragrances, which contain essential oils and absolutes derived from plants or flowers found in the local countryside.
Made in Spain
At Maison Soto, our priority is to work with local suppliers, developing
our supply chain mainly in Spain, with the intention to be as sustainable as possible
in every product we develop.

FAQ´S
A natural origin ingredient is a material taken from nature (plant, flower, resin, etc.) that has undergone a simple and clean physical process, such as steam distillation or cold pressing, or an authorised chemical or biotech process, in accordance with ISO standard 16128.
To meet this standard at product level, the proportion of natural origin ingredients must exceed 50% of the formulation. In the case of our products, this proportion is most often above 80%.
At Maison Soto, our perfumer committed as early as 2016 to natural origin perfumery, favouring plant-based ingredients derived from biomass and limiting the use of synthetic ingredients derived from petrochemistry.
An essential oil is a natural extract obtained by steam distillation. We prioritize the use of natural extracts produced in Spain to compose our fragrances, which contain essential oils and absolutes derived from plants or flowers found in the local countryside. Depending on the availability of ingredients, the essential oils we use may be produced in other countries, primarily around the Mediterranean.
Our priority is to work with local suppliers, developing our supply chain in Spain, with the intention to be as sustainable as possible in every product we develop. All our products are manufactured in collaboration with suppliers based in Spain: laboratories, candle makers and printers.
Our in-house perfumer is dedicated exclusively to Maison Soto. Unlike most brands, which buy fragrances from large industrial labs, having an in-house perfumer means that each fragrance is an original, tailor-made creation, developed entirely in-house to embody the brand's DNA.
It's the perfect balance between olfactory aesthetics (the beauty of the scent), technical performance (its diffusion, linearity and longlastingness), and safety (respect for the skin and health). A "right" formula relies on the precision of each dosage, validated by numerous rounds of product evaluation in use.
We believe in "buying less but better". That's why all of our products are made in Spain using natural origin ingredients and, as much as possible, locally sourced essential oils. This short cycle of production reduces our carbon footprint while actively supporting our local partners.
Synthetic fragrances only contain ingredients derived from petrochemistry, which does not mean they are not safe or of poor quality. Their downside is that they encourage the extraction of fossil energy.
A natural fragrance only contains natural ingredients extracted from nature, which does not mean they are safer than synthetic fragrances or of better quality. Their downside is that they encourage the depletion of natural biomasses.
Natural Origin fragrances contain a majority of ingredients derived from nature and some synthetic ingredients when their olfactory profile cannot be found in nature. At Maison Soto, we believe that natural origin perfumery takes the best of both worlds.
The fragrances used to scent Maison Soto products are of natural origin, in accordance with ISO standard 16128 and compliant with the standards established by IFRA (International Fragrance Association), the fragrance industry's global self-regulatory body.
